What is Dino Competition?
Get ready to roar with excitement! Dino Competition is a three-week, gamified classroom competition designed to add motivation to regular math practice.
Over three exciting school weeks, randomly selected classes will automatically take part in the competition. There’s no setup or activation needed from teachers. Students can continue working on their usual tasks in Happy Numbers, and their progress is converted into class-level points. As a teacher, all you have to do is observe progress and keep motivating your students!
How is the Competition Structured?
Dino Competition consists of three independent weekly competitions:
Each week is counted separately
Points do not carry over from one week to another.
Everyweek starts from zero.
There is no overall ranking across all three weeks.
Where Can I See the Results?
On the Dino Competition page, you’ll find:
A class card that shows your class’s points and rank for the selected week.
A leaderboard that compares your class with other participating classes.
Classes with no points appear in the “Not Started” section.
All other classes are sorted in descending order by points.
How Are Points Calculated?
Scoring points is as easy as doing your regular work in Happy Numbers! Here’s how students can rack up points for their class:
1 point for every completed task.
3 points for hitting their individual weekly time target.
5 points for achieving their individual weekly task target.
How Do I Get Certificates?
At the end of each competition week, the weekly leaderboard and participation certificates are automatically sent to the teacher’s email.
Student Data and Privacy
The Dino Competition is designed with student privacy and anonymity in mind. Here’s how we protect their data:
No personal data is displayed, and individual student names are never shown.
Results are class-based only, with no individual scores shared.
Fictional team names are used for classes so there’s no connection to specific students, classes, or schools.
Student Engagement Note
Students won’t see any direct notifications about the Dino Competition in their accounts.
Their assignments, goals, and learning progress in Happy Numbers stay exactly the same. This way, the core educational experience remains consistent while the Dino Competition brings an extra boost of motivation and excitement to the classroom!
