This features overview is based on the type of license. At Happy Numbers, we offer four different license types for classroom use:

Description: Our adaptive Placement Test, powered by The Quantile® Framework, assesses K–5 students’ math readiness and places them at the right starting point in our curriculum. With 20–30 multiple-choice questions, it ensures each student learns at the level needed for optimal growth.

Description: Each student starts at the optimal point in the curriculum, gets as many tasks as needed at each level to ensure understanding, and may have their pathway adjusted mid-year.

Description: All PreK–5 tasks, including assessments, are available in both English and Spanish.

Description: Voiceover is automatic in PreK–1 and clickable on demand in higher grades. Natural human audio is available in both English and Spanish for all tasks, including assessments.

Description: The active learning time a student spends working on exercises each day (idle time is not counted).

Description: A type of assignment called Practice that checks student understanding of specific skills.

Other licenses: HN scores, Quantiles® by request.
Description: Adaptive assessments given three times a year to measure student growth and adjust their learning pathways to match current math proficiency levels. For all types of users, color-coded results are provided. Teachers with paid subscriptions can view HN scores, which are easy to read and show math growth at a glance. For more specific purposes, we provide the results in the Quantile® Framework at the school or district level.

Description: A type of ongoing seamless assessment that records student performance as they work through the curriculum to track skill proficiency; results appear in the Skills Report to show who needs extra support.
Intervention Tools

Description: Teachers assign tasks to give students extra practice on specific skills or topics outside their regular learning pathway. These tasks are useful for pre-assessment, closing learning gaps, and providing additional targeted practice.

Description: Standards-aligned K–5 worksheets, including up to three difficulty levels per skill (available in English and Spanish).

Description: Highlights tasks where students struggled or are currently struggling, so teachers can review them together with students or assign extra practice with Assignments or Printable Worksheets.

Description: A display that shows class progress throughout the year, including curriculum completion, next grade readiness, and individual student growth data. HN Scores are not available for Basic Classroom license.
